Job Summary

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist plays a vital role in providing safe and effective care to patients by performing a wide range of technical procedures. This includes setting up equipment, positioning patients, and ensuring that all studies are properly identified and documented.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and administration of radiopharmaceuticals
  • Operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment
  • Position patients for procedures and ensure their safety and comfort
  • Verify patient identification and ensure that all studies are properly documented
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure the highest level of patient care
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved AMA Nuclear Medicine Program
  • ARRT Nuclear Technology or Cert Nuclear Med Tech certification
  • Basic Life Support or BLS - Instructor certification
  • Experience in a clinical setting caring for patients
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
