About the Role

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Rapid Response Team. As a STAT Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in ensuring the coordination, integration, and evaluation of adult patient care consistent with policies, procedures, and standards of care at NSMC.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent critical thinking skills, the ability to concentrate in intense situations, and a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care. A minimum of two years of critical care experience or emergency room experience in an academic medical center is required.

Responsibilities
  • Assume responsibility for the plan of care and make decisions regarding assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the plan.
  • Provide support and direct patient care to a variety of inpatient units and functions across units during peak periods of activity.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure effective patient care and coordination.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care that address the unique needs of each patient.
Requirements
  • BLS and ACLS certification is required at the time of hire.
  • Requires intense attention and concentration.
  • Good visual, hearing skills, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively interact with the multidisciplinary team with a wide range of personality types, ages, and diverse cultural backgrounds in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) are required to lead and teach.
  • Ability to interact effectively with others in difficult situations and to coordinate and effectively delegate team activities.
  • Exceptional critical thinking skills; ability to concentrate in intense situations.
