ABOUT US

We seek passionate technicians dedicated to promoting sustainability through clean wind energy. As a technician at Vestas, you will apply your electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical skills to ensure both your safety and that of your colleagues.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A TECHNICIAN

In this intermediate-level role, you will utilize your training and skills to conduct maintenance and installation tasks on designated wind turbines with minimal oversight. You will follow established schedules and procedures, including safety protocols and written instructions, while also providing guidance to junior technicians.

Your daily responsibilities may involve working at heights of 250 feet or in confined spaces to perform necessary maintenance and repairs. Expect to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, requiring physical stamina to carry tools and equipment as well as maneuver parts to complete your tasks.

Team collaboration is essential, and our commitment to professionalism, safety, and meticulous attention to detail is paramount to our clients. We also encourage suggestions for enhancing safety and quality in our operations.

YOUR PROFILE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of technical experience in the wind industry, OR six (6) months of relevant experience combined with a certificate from a wind technician program, OR at least three (3) years of experience in electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, composite skills, or heavy machinery.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs while carrying loads up to 50 lbs.
  • Familiarity with intermediate-level power tools, including hydraulic and diagnostic tools (e.g., Fluke meter functions and hydraulic pressure gauges).
  • Valid driver's license is necessary.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to navigate internet-based programs, along with the capability to generate and interpret data.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding technical drawings and schematics, with a keen attention to safety protocols (e.g., confined space entry, energy isolation).
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and collaborate with team members.
