Job Summary:

Virtua is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients to develop and implement effective care plans.
  • Administer and monitor therapeutic interventions and regimes, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
  • Effectively manage rapidly changing situations, prioritizing patient needs and making sound decisions.
  • Participate in clinical decision-making, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Educate patients and their families on disease processes, individual care needs, and wellness strategies.
  • Delegate and monitor care rendered by other members of the nursing department and healthcare team.
  • Demonstrate standard precautions and patient safety principles in practice, maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
  • Participate in orientation, education, and development of healthcare team members, promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Identify and participate in performance improvement activities, driving continuous quality improvement.
  • Maintain professional and departmental level competencies, staying up-to-date with current nursing practices and standards.

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid NJ RN License, with approved licenses presented and maintained in accordance with the State of New Jersey licensing board.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of nursing skills, hospital practices, procedures, and standards.
  • Perfect skills and stay abreast of current nursing practice through ongoing education, journals, etc.
  • Must have strong communication skills, able to coordinate efforts of a team of care providers.
