The President and Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for leading the organization's efforts to build strong communities where everyone thrives. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan to achieve the organization's mission and vision
  • Provide inspirational leadership and motivation to senior level staff, ensuring the continued development and management of a professional and efficient organization
  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to refine and implement the strategic plan, ensuring alignment with the core mission
  • Build a diverse and inclusive Board representative of the community, highly engaged and willing to leverage and secure resources
  • Coordinate activities related to the United Way Board of Directors, Executive Committee, and all other bylaw standing committees
  • Serve as an ex-officio member of all division and department committees
  • Serve on various human service boards and committees to further the delivery of human services in Tarrant County
  • Coordinate activities with the state (United Ways of Texas) and national (United Way Worldwide) organizations to further the effectiveness of the United Way in Tarrant County
Requirements
  • 10 years of executive level experience in a non-profit or corporate environment
  • Experience leading a team of at least 5 executive level professionals
  • Bachelor's Degree

Preference will be given to applicants with non-profit management certification, CFRE, non-profit management and/or fundraising experience, and work experience with a United Way.
