The Registered Nurse in this position will assess designated patients and develop, execute, and document nursing interventions. This role includes assisting physicians during examinations and medical procedures, conducting various patient assessments, and administering medications within the registered nurse's scope of practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patient conditions and establish care plans.
- Support physicians during clinical procedures.
- Administer medications and perform patient tests.
- Encourage patient autonomy by setting care objectives and educating patients and their families about health conditions, medication regimens, and self-care techniques.
This role relies on clinical experience and professional judgment to achieve care goals, and a diverse range of tasks will be performed. A significant degree of creativity and independence is expected. Typically reports to a unit manager or department head.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license.
- Familiarity with standard practices and procedures in the nursing field.
