Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Admissions Specialist to join our team at Texas Health. As a key member of the Patient Access Services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of medical records and billing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately gather complete financial and demographic information to ensure medical records and billing processes flow efficiently.
  • Obtain and/or update verification of benefits and/or pre-certification for applicable tests and/or procedures.
  • Prepare, present, and thoroughly explain applicable legal, ethical, and compliance documents; ensure proper consents are signed by the appropriate parties.
  • Maximize reimbursement for services rendered by appropriately identifying insurance carrier, benefits, etc.
  • Assist patients in understanding financial obligations; collect co-payments, self-pay deposits, and patient balances to reduce Accounts Receivable.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • 1 Year Customer Service experience required.
  • CHAA - Certified Healthcare Access Associate preferred.
