Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Crisis Assessment and Intervention: Conduct thorough assessments of emergency situations to determine the level of care required and provide crisis intervention services as needed.
  • Admission Screening and Procedures: Perform admission screenings and complete all necessary paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Treatment Team Collaboration: Present client information to the interdisciplinary treatment team and communicate behavioral interventions to Mental Health Technicians.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Document all situations according to procedures and complete required paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Resource Linkage and Coordination: Provide linkage to available resources and ensure that peace officers and local providers are advised of proper procedures to obtain crisis intervention services.
  • Staff Meetings and Training: Attend staff meetings, workshops, and seminars to learn agency policy, rules, regulations, and procedures, and participate in ongoing in-service training and external training.
  • Core Competencies and Continuing Education: Maintain core competencies in relation to working with co-occurring disorders through continuing education and implement skills into all aspects of programming.
  • Care Plan Facilitation: Support and assist with the facilitation of Care Plans for consumers within the Red Rock Health Team.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Judgment and Interpersonal Skills: General skill in exercising independent judgment, tact, patience, and understanding, and maintaining effective working relationships with clients, other staff, and the community.
  • Training and Development: Must complete all in-service and external training requirements.
  • Mission Commitment: Commitment to the mission of Red Rock BHS.
