Job Title: Bus Driver

Estimated Annual Salary: $19,350

About the Position:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Bus Driver to join our team at the Sahuarita Unified School District. As a key member of our transportation staff, you will be responsible for transporting students and other passengers safely and efficiently.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Operate school buses on designated routes, ensuring timely arrival and departure of students;
  • Provide exceptional customer service to students, parents, and staff;
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations;
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, bus maintenance, and fuel consumption;
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve route efficiency and reduce traffic congestion;
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless communication and efficient operation of the transportation system;
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge;
Essential Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Valid Arizona driver's license;
  • Arizona Class B Commercial Driver's License (desired);
  • Meet all Arizona School Bus Driver requirements;
  • Pass the Arizona Department of Public Safety Physical Performance Test;
  • Previous experience driving a school bus is highly desirable;
