We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Concentra. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine medical and testing procedures under the supervision of a treating clinician.
- Ensure every patient receives quality clinical care and an excellent patient experience.
- Triages and disposes of patients, assists providers during examinations and treatments, and prepares patients for physical examinations.
- Apply bandages, dressings, and splints as ordered by the treating clinician.
- Dispense medications and appliances as ordered by the treating clinician and in accordance with state regulations.
- Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
- Maintain and operate all medical devices and equipment, including calibration and record keeping.
- Complete quality assurance activities on equipment and medical devices.
- Manage patient flow and volume, and keep patients informed of expected wait times.
- Perform clerical tasks in both the front and back office associated with patient care and proper record keeping.
- High school graduate or GED equivalent.
- Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited school or Military Medical Specialist with current Medical Assistant credentials.
- Working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements.
- Previous medical office experience preferred.
- Competitive hourly rate in the state range of $20.99 to $27.28.
