Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Concentra. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine medical and testing procedures under the supervision of a treating clinician.
  • Ensure every patient receives quality clinical care and an excellent patient experience.
  • Triages and disposes of patients, assists providers during examinations and treatments, and prepares patients for physical examinations.
  • Apply bandages, dressings, and splints as ordered by the treating clinician.
  • Dispense medications and appliances as ordered by the treating clinician and in accordance with state regulations.
  • Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
  • Maintain and operate all medical devices and equipment, including calibration and record keeping.
  • Complete quality assurance activities on equipment and medical devices.
  • Manage patient flow and volume, and keep patients informed of expected wait times.
  • Perform clerical tasks in both the front and back office associated with patient care and proper record keeping.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent.
  • Medical Assistant Certification from an accredited school or Military Medical Specialist with current Medical Assistant credentials.
  • Working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements.
  • Previous medical office experience preferred.
