About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Lab Specialist to join our team at One Medical. As a Medical Lab Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in our lab services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide best-in-class venipuncture services to patients of all ages
  • Perform and assist with extended scope duties, including non-blood specimen collection, EKGs/ECGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests, and swabs
  • Maintain high standards of in-office care through proper specimen labeling, handling, and processing, inventory upkeep, and tool sterilization
  • Continuously care for patients beyond the lab room by answering patient messages, following up on lab cases, and assisting providers and virtual medical teams with clerical duties
  • Use impeccable C-I-CARE skills in all patient interactions and ensure a positive in-office experience through patient intake, same-day schedule management, and follow-up scheduling
Requirements
  • An active phlebotomy certification to practice in WA and at least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside of a training/externship environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in computer technology, including typing, navigating the internet, and using multiple software systems simultaneously
  • Experience working on collaborative, diverse, multi-disciplinary teams
