Job Title: Product Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Product Engineer to join our team at Doncasters Precision Castings-New England, located in Groton, CT. As a Product Engineer, you will be responsible for managing projects from quote through to sales, leading on the introduction of new work, and contributing innovative ideas to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage projects from quote through to sales
  • Lead on the introduction of new work
  • Contribute innovative ideas to continuous improvement
  • Apply high-level technical knowledge related to metallurgical, process, and manufacturing engineering
  • Define processes and techniques required for the economical development of superalloy investment castings
  • Interpret available data and implement a series of actions to bring about an efficient manufacturing process
Requirements:
  • Ambitious individual with aerospace industry experience
  • Thorough knowledge of investment casting process and manufacturing methods, techniques, Statistical Process Control, and equipment
  • Knowledge of 3 or 5-axis CNC manufacturing, with a clear understanding of conventional metal removal, forming, and joining
  • Knowledge of Solid Model/CAD using Auto-Desk Inventor software
  • Degree in Manufacturing Technology discipline
  • Six Sigma Black Belt
