Role Overview:

Nimbus Power Systems is seeking a skilled technician to join our team in manufacturing fuel cell engine components from concept through production. The ideal candidate will have a background in a manufacturing or laboratory environment and be motivated to learn and proactive in work execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and manufacture fuel cell components from initial concept to production.
  • Assemble and test fuel cell engines for hybrid heavy-duty applications.
  • Maintain and operate fuel cell test stands.
  • Perform electrical wiring and mechanical assembly tasks.
  • Handle compressed gases (hydrogen, air, oxygen, nitrogen) in a safe and controlled environment.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, especially when working with high-voltage equipment (up to 800V DC, 480V AC-3P).
  • Travel occasionally for field support and interact with customers in a professional manner.
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or laboratory setting.
  • Trade Certification in electrical or mechanical field desired but not required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware and electrical wiring.
  • Comfortable working with compressed gases and high-voltage electrical systems.
  • CNC machining experience is a plus.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex technical instructions.
Desired Skills:
  • Familiarity with high-voltage safety standards.
  • Experience with CNC machining and other precision tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and maintain testing equipment and systems.
  • Experience with basic IT troubleshooting, including diagnosing and resolving minor software, hardware, or network issues, is a plus.
