Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Treatment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
- Documentation and Confidentiality: Document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
- Environment and Safety: Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients, adhering to company safety policies and procedures.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with allied health and public safety personnel, as well as fellow EMTs, to provide seamless patient care.
- Operational Responsibilities: Operate an ambulance in accordance with company safety policies, traffic laws, and regulations.
- Community Outreach: Participate in community programs to maintain a positive image and establish strong community relations.
- Age and Education: Must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Certifications and Licenses: State EMT or NREMT certification, CPR/BLS certification, and a valid state driver's license.
- Driving Record and Physical Ability: Maintain a driving record in compliance with company policy and pass a Physical Ability Test (PAT).
- Experience: Some work experience, preferably in healthcare, is preferred.
