Job Overview

As a Barback, your primary responsibility is to ensure a seamless beverage service experience for our guests and staff. You will be integral in supporting bartenders and beverage servers, contributing to a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver prompt, courteous, and professional service to guests and team members.
  • Monitor guest alcohol consumption and take appropriate action as necessary, adhering to established guidelines.
  • Act as a goodwill ambassador during service and at promotional events.
  • Promote and inform guests about upcoming events and programs.
  • Provide personalized service, utilizing guest names when possible.
  • Address and resolve service issues in accordance with company protocols.
  • Collaborate effectively with bartenders, beverage servers, and supervisors to maintain a smooth operation.
  • Maintain adequate levels of supplies and equipment for bar operations, ensuring timely restocking.
  • Organize and store liquors, fruits, glassware, and other supplies according to safety and storage guidelines.
  • Replace empty kegs and prepare fruit for beverage service.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including counters, sinks, and floors.
  • Dispose of waste properly and maintain health and safety standards in all work areas.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following:

  • Must be at least 21 years old; prior experience in a bar setting is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Completion of RVP training is necessary.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Adherence to professional appearance standards as outlined by company policy.
  • Capability to respond to visual and auditory cues.
  • Able to work in confined spaces and tolerate a busy, noisy environment.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs and perform various physical tasks as needed.
