About the OpportunityThe Intervention Specialist will support the educational and behavioral goals of all students, with a focus on students with an Individualized Education Program. Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with classroom teachers to develop and implement intervention strategies
- Conducting diagnostic assessments and functional behavior assessments
- Writing and implementing behavior improvement plans
- Facilitating IEP meetings and developing IEP goals and objectives
- Providing individualized support to students to meet academic and cultural goals
We are seeking a highly qualified Intervention Specialist with:
- Current state license holder
- Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards
- Experience working in a full room inclusion type model or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room model
- High level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office products
