Job Summary

The Patient Care Technician (PCT/CCHT) will provide direct care to patients with End Stage Renal Disease, supporting clinical staff throughout the dialysis treatment process. This role will also involve administrative duties in the offices.

Responsibilities
  • Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings according to facility policies.
  • Set up and tear down the dialysis blood system for the treatment process.
  • Insert and remove access needles in patients for dialysis treatment.
  • Monitor and assess patients during the course of treatment, document changes in the patient condition, and inform charge nurse of problems during treatment.
  • Calculate patient's weight loss to reach dry weight.
  • Maintain and track inventory.
  • Perform laboratory work.
  • Determine patient care priorities and organize workload efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain professional working relationship, observing patient privacy and rights.
Requirements
  • Current CCHT and CPR certification.
  • Previous secretarial or administrative assistance experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
