Position Overview
Forvis Mazars is experiencing significant growth within its Federal Tax Specialty practice and is on the lookout for enthusiastic individuals who are dedicated to assisting clients in reaching their objectives.
As an intern in the Federal Tax Specialty team at Forvis Mazars, your primary responsibilities will include supporting engagement teams in executing projects aimed at identifying and leveraging tax incentives that enhance cash flow. Interns will engage in project planning, aid in recognizing, quantifying, and validating business activities, and assist in the preparation of necessary documentation.
The Federal Tax Specialty professionals at Forvis Mazars guide clients in selecting and implementing strategies that foster growth and cost savings. Our services encompass, but are not limited to:
- Research & Development Tax Credit Analysis
- Transaction Tax Advisory
- Cost Segregation Analysis
- Optimization of Accounting Methods

Your Contributions
- Collaborating within a multi-disciplinary team to provide specialized knowledge and insights across various industries, including manufacturing, technology, retail, and utilities.
- Identifying, analyzing, and validating value-driven benefits.
- Conducting tax research on technical topics.
- Maintaining and updating project timelines and action items.
- Conducting client interviews and reviewing relevant documentation.
- Presenting findings and substantiating results through reports and presentations to clients.

- Providing updates on project status to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Compiling and reviewing comprehensive project reports.

Minimum Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; other relevant majors may be considered.
- Willingness to travel to client locations, which may include occasional overnight stays.
- Availability to work overtime as necessary.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher, both in major and overall.
- Coursework related to Data Analytics is advantageous but not mandatory.
