Position Summary:
The individual in this role will be responsible for the following key functions, along with other duties as assigned:
- Conduct maintenance tasks within facilities, collaborating with management to establish new preventative maintenance initiatives.
- Ensure the upkeep and safe operation of company-owned tools and equipment utilized in daily operations.
- Manage work orders, prioritize tasks, and follow up on completed assignments.
- Address emergency repairs promptly to prevent property damage and ensure the safety of associates and customers.
- Coordinate with local contractors for significant repair projects and maintenance activities.
- Assist in developing procedures for quick response and resolution of emergency building or system failures to minimize disruption and loss.
- Propose necessary capital improvement projects to enhance efficient building operations.
- Support the implementation of minor capital projects.
- Establish and uphold preventative maintenance programs and protocols.
- Conduct facility inspections to verify adherence to maintenance projects and procedures.
- Educate management on the significance of planned maintenance to improve profitability by reducing costs.
- Participate in on-site evaluations of new and renovation projects.
- Ensure assigned projects are completed in accordance with company standards regarding criteria, timelines, costs, and quality.
- Perform regular inspections on assigned projects to ensure compliance with company standards and objectives, taking corrective actions as necessary.
- Provide maintenance expertise to various departments in response to inquiries related to maintenance and repairs.
- Offer immediate support in emergency situations, disaster recovery, and compliance matters.
- Continuously assess best practices and standards, providing recommendations for process improvements.
This position does not include supervisory duties.
Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform each essential duty effectively. The following qualifications are required:
A high school diploma or GED, along with five (5) years of experience in building systems maintenance and a solid understanding of construction trades. Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Service Now Call Tracking system, as well as basic knowledge of iPhone and iPad operations is also necessary.
