Transforming Healthcare through Government Sales

Availity is a leading healthcare engagement platform, and we're seeking a seasoned Senior Sales Executive, Government to drive our strategy and growth in the government sector.

This is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in government procurement processes and your deep understanding of the healthcare industry to identify, pursue, and secure government contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to target government agencies and secure contracts for Availity solutions.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders within government agencies.
  • Stay informed about government regulations, policies, and initiatives related to healthcare, and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to tailor proposals and solutions to meet the specific needs and requirements of government clients.
  • Lead contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends and emerging opportunities within the government and healthcare sector to identify opportunities.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership on pipeline and market insights.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 10 years of government healthcare industry sales experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex government sales cycles and negotiating win-win agreements based on value-based selling.
  • Experience selling healthcare technology and a deep understanding of healthcare EDI transactions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent presentation skills.
  • Prior experience preparing and delivering formal proposals/presentations and the ability to make decisions independently.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel throughout the day/week.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Healthcare lobbyist experience.
  • Deep expertise with government regulations, policies, and initiatives related to healthcare.
  • Actively participate in associations that have a positive impact within the government space as it relates to healthcare technology.
