About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Medical Support Specialist to join our team at Select Specialty Hospital - Gulfport (Gulf Coast). As a Medical Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform various patient care tasks, including bathing, oral hygiene, and hair care.
  • Answer patient calls and respond to their needs in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Participate in hourly rounds to ensure patient needs are met.
  • Transport patients to and from treatment centers as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment, including patient rooms and equipment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • Previous hospital experience as a nursing assistant or in a related field preferred.
