Position Summary

The Coffee Product Specialist will represent our esteemed client, Nespresso, and their premium range of espresso and coffee machines within a local housewares retailer. You will act as an in-store authority by engaging with customers and delivering live demonstrations to illustrate why Nespresso products stand out in the market. Nespresso is guided by a fundamental belief that quality and environmental responsibility should coexist. Through their Positive Cup Campaign, Nespresso integrates sustainable practices into their operations, advocating that the coffee industry can be a catalyst for positive change by minimizing waste, promoting regenerative agriculture, and supporting resilient communities and farming livelihoods. As a Nespresso Specialist, you will play a crucial role in promoting this sustainable ethos and demonstrating how the brand caters to diverse taste preferences, enhancing customers' daily routines with barista-quality experiences at home.

The ideal candidate will possess a vibrant attitude, a genuine passion for coffee, and a drive to convert casual shoppers into devoted brand advocates by showcasing Nespresso's craftsmanship in merging technology, quality, and design to deliver the ultimate coffee experience.

Work Schedule

  • 8-12 hours per weekend
  • Availability on Saturdays and Sundays (Fridays, if necessary)

What We Provide

  • $25.00 per hour
  • Comprehensive online and in-store training sessions to equip you with Nespresso product knowledge

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to the Nespresso brand at all times
  • Provide customers with an immersive Nespresso experience, including coffee tastings, engaging product demonstrations, and tailored recommendations
  • Boost product sales and machine registrations through exceptional demonstrations, product knowledge, and coffee expertise
  • Conclude demonstrations with effective sales techniques while emphasizing Nespresso's sustainability and recycling initiatives
  • Train store staff to confidently communicate Nespresso information
  • Utilize the Nespresso Trade Mobile Application for machine registrations and coffee orders
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic demo area in accordance with visual standards
  • Ensure demo machines are operational and well-maintained
  • Build positive professional relationships with store management and staff
  • Participate in mandatory training sessions and team meetings
  • Complete feedback surveys with insights and images after each shift

Qualifications

  • Experience in retail, sales, or training
  • Genuine enthusiasm for coffee beverages
  • Previous experience in food demonstrations is a plus
  • Engaging personality with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable presenting to both individuals and groups

Physical Requirements

  • Must adhere to professional appearance standards
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Capable of lifting up to 30 lbs. without assistance
  • Access to a smart device with a data plan
  • Reliable transportation is required
