Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulations.
  • Collaborate with project managers and contractors to resolve any issues or concerns that arise during the construction process.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of construction progress, including measurements, reports, and certifications.
  • Ensure that all construction materials and equipment meet the required standards and specifications.
  • Identify and report any potential problems or safety hazards to the project engineer and supervisor.
  • Act as a construction specialist and head inspector on projects, responsible for ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least six years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on transportation infrastructure.
  • Ability to become certified in DOT classes and maintain these certifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Basic math skills to compute quantities and costs.
  • Ability to interpret and implement company safety policies.
  • Valid driver's license.
Working Conditions

This position requires working in an outdoor environment for 95% of the time, with moderate noise levels and frequent travel via automobile.
