Job Summary

Chet's Rent-All is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rental Equipment Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, compliance, and safety of our rental equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel to Customer Job Sites: Travel to customer job sites to perform repairs, general maintenance, and oversee the recovery of customer-rented equipment.
  • Equipment Diagnostics and Repair: Diagnose and repair all forms of rental equipment and tools in the shop and the field.
  • Work Order Management: Initiate, maintain, and complete work orders, as well as log equipment in and out of the shop through Chet's operating system.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Take pride in your workplace and service vehicle by sustaining a well-organized, functional space that contributes to a positive and constructive rental equipment repair process.
  • Attendance and Reliability: Consistent, regular, and reliable attendance, including being ready for work at the designated start time.
  • Equipment Transportation: Transport, deliver, and retrieve assorted construction and heavy equipment when required.
  • Training and Development: Complete corporate training and assist in training multiple unfamiliar staff members according to company standards.
  • Safety and Compliance: Comply with the OSHA and company's safety standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Facilities Repair: Minor facilities repair and maintenance.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
Requirements
  • Pre-Employment Screening: Pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • Education: Possess a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Technical Skills: Possess the ability to learn and effectively navigate our operation system.
  • Experience: Five years of documented mechanic experience.
  • Remote Work: Willingness to work remotely (customer's job site).
  • Driver's License: A valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a chauffeur's driver's license and DOT medical card.
  • Overtime: Willing to work overtime and after regular business hours as needed.
  • Lifting: Ability to frequently lift items to 60 lbs.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Possess mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
