Rental Equipment Technician

Chet's Rent-All is seeking dedicated and skilled individuals to join our team of rental equipment specialists.

We are looking for individuals who can effectively manage repair, inventory, and labor costs through accurate diagnostics. You will be responsible for independently managing your workload and ensuring the quality, compliance, and safety of Chet's Rent-All assets.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Travel to customer job sites to perform repairs, general maintenance, and oversee the recovery of rented equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair a wide range of rental equipment and tools both in the shop and on-site.
  • Initiate, maintain, and complete work orders, as well as accurately log equipment in and out of the shop using our operating system.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace in your service vehicle to contribute to a positive and efficient repair process.
  • Ensure consistent, reliable attendance, including being ready for work at the designated start time.
  • Transport, deliver, and retrieve various construction and heavy equipment as needed.
  • Complete corporate training programs and assist in training new staff members according to company standards.
  • Adhere to OSHA and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform minor facility repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Be willing to take on other duties as assigned by management.
What We Require:
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • Hold a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn and effectively navigate our operating system.
  • Have five years of documented experience as a mechanic.
  • Be comfortable working remotely at customer job sites.
  • Hold a valid driver's license and be able to obtain a chauffeur's driver's license and DOT medical card.
  • Be willing to work overtime and after regular business hours when required.
  • Have the ability to frequently lift items up to 60 pounds.
  • Possess mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
