Role Summary:

The Patient Services Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating essential activities within specific physician practices. Key responsibilities include:

  • Verifying insurance and obtaining necessary precertifications
  • Scheduling appointments and managing pre-registration processes
  • Facilitating order transmission (faxing) to ensure seamless operations

The primary goal of this role is to maximize reimbursement and minimize denials stemming from incomplete insurance information or authorization issues. The coordinator will also maintain relevant statistics and serve as a liaison between clinical testing sites and physicians' offices.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a High School Diploma and meet at least two of the following criteria:

  • Two years of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Completion of a healthcare-related certificate program
  • Associate's Degree or higher
  • Transferable skills from customer service or call center roles

Preferred Experience:

Experience in a healthcare environment is advantageous.

Required Skills:

Proficiency in technology and computer applications, a strong customer service orientation, and familiarity with Microsoft Office are essential for success in this role.
