Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Laboratory Manager to join our team at North Oaks Medical Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating the operations of our clinical laboratory, ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of high-quality patient care services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the administrative, fiscal, and technical activities of the clinical laboratory, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
  • Supervise and mentor laboratory staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care services.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve laboratory efficiency, productivity, and quality, including the implementation of new technologies and processes.
  • Collaborate with laboratory leadership and other departments to ensure seamless integration of laboratory services and effective communication.
  • Ensure the laboratory is equipped with the necessary resources, including personnel, equipment, and supplies, to deliver high-quality patient care services.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate laboratory performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Current licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist in Louisiana required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in laboratory management, with a proven track record of success in improving laboratory efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire laboratory staff.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of laboratory information systems and other digital systems used in the laboratory.
