Key Responsibilities:
- Implement management principles and nursing philosophies to maintain high standards of patient care.
- Assume administrative duties to ensure efficient hospital operations.
- Utilize the nursing process to guarantee continuity and quality of care for patients across all age groups.
- Demonstrate the necessary knowledge and skills to cater to the specific needs of patients in the nursing unit.
Qualifications:
Education: A foundational understanding of nursing is essential. A Bachelor's degree in nursing, healthcare administration, business administration, or psychology is preferred. Candidates must be graduates of an accredited nursing program.
Experience: A minimum of five years in a Staff Nurse role, with experience as a Charge Nurse or Assistant Nursing Manager, is preferred to develop the requisite skills and knowledge.
Licensure: A current Registered Nurse (R.N.) license in New York State is required.
Work Environment: This is a full-time position with standard hours of 36.00 per week. The work schedule includes night shifts of 12 hours, with alternating weekends and rotating holidays.
