Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Vocational training or apprenticeship is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in operating excavation machinery is essential.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operates various construction, excavation, hauling, and maintenance equipment such as backhoes, front-end loaders, bulldozers, excavators, and grade tractors.
  • Prepares sites for construction, demolition, or excavation activities.
  • Utilizes excavating machinery to create holes and trenches.
  • Transports tools and construction equipment to designated sites.
  • Employs machinery to prepare job sites for parking lots, sidewalks, roadways, and utilities.
  • Operates equipment for the construction of bridges and roads.
  • Conducts pre-shift inspections of machinery.
  • Performs additional related tasks as required.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of heavy machinery operation and its capabilities.
  • Ability to interpret building plans related to structural concrete and land grading.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Capability to follow detailed instructions.

Physical Requirements:

  • Extended periods of operating heavy machinery.
  • Willingness to work long hours, including evenings and weekends as necessary.
  • Ability to operate machinery in various weather conditions and terrains.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
