Concrete Production Specialist

Objective / General Overview:
The Concrete Production Specialist is responsible for executing operational processes within the plant and addressing urgent operational challenges related to Safety, Quality, and Efficiency. This role may also involve operating a mixer truck as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all Environmental, Health, and Safety Standards: Ensure compliance with all 5S and Standard Work protocols, including overseeing concrete drivers and loader operators during concrete production.
- Maintain Equipment and Facilities: Ensure that all areas are kept clean, organized, and well-maintained through the execution of routine preventative maintenance tasks.
- Oversee Inventory Management: Implement inventory management processes to meet production needs, ensuring materials are safeguarded from environmental hazards and that storage areas are free from contamination.
- Monitor and Communicate Daily Performance: Report any system failures and process issues to the Plant Manager that may hinder our ability to fulfill customer demands.
- Document and Report Production Metrics Accurately: Complete daily documentation and reporting tasks as outlined in operational guidelines.
- Ensure Quality Production During Mixing and Delivery: Adhere to operational guidelines and collaborate with Quality Technicians and inspectors to monitor product quality.
- Perform Additional Duties as Assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- NCDOT Field & Batch Certification is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in concrete mixing and delivery operations.
- Experience with Field Inspection and Concrete Batching Certifications is essential.
- Proven ability to execute processes and suggest enhancements.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
Physical Requirements:
Applicants must demonstrate the ability to perform essential job functions safely and effectively, in compliance with ADA, FMLA, and other applicable standards. Regular and punctual attendance is required. Close visual acuity is necessary for tasks such as inventory management, data recording, and data entry. Prolonged standing is a fundamental aspect of this role.
Candidates should be capable of lifting weights ranging from 20 to 50 pounds as needed.
