Position Overview

Work Schedule

Department Overview

The Athletics Department at the University of Central Oklahoma is dedicated to supporting student athletes across various NCAA Division II sports, including Football, Basketball, Golf, Baseball, Softball, Wrestling, Track & Field, Tennis, Soccer, Rowing, and Volleyball.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with all facets of game-day and daily operations, which may include:
  • Setting up and dismantling equipment.
  • Facilitating tailgating and fan engagement activities.
  • Coordinating promotions and entertainment on and off the field.
  • Managing signage and ticketing processes.
  • Supporting pre- and post-event tasks.
  • Collaborating with sports media relations and performing other clerical duties as assigned.
It is essential to note that this position may require working during evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Enrollment Requirements

Fall/Spring Semesters: To qualify for any student position, individuals must be enrolled at least half-time. For graduate students, half-time enrollment is 5 credit hours, while for undergraduates, it is 6 credit hours. International students must maintain full-time enrollment to be eligible for student employment, defined as 9 credit hours for graduates and 12 for undergraduates.

Summer Semester: Students in regular positions must be enrolled in a minimum of 3 credit hours to work during the summer. Those not enrolled in summer courses must be registered for fall classes to maintain eligibility. Additionally, FICA taxes will apply for both the student and the department.

Qualifications and Skills

Candidates should possess flexible schedules, demonstrate high motivation and reliability, and exhibit independent work capabilities. Evening and weekend availability is a prerequisite for this role.
