Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the daily operations and administration of the warehouse, ensuring effective receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
- Enhance and optimize ERP system workflows and protocols.
- Assess and refine operational procedures, maintenance standards, space efficiency, and equipment safeguarding.
- Guarantee accurate documentation and prompt shipment of all completed products.
- Foster and uphold a cost-effective and efficient shipping and logistics framework.
- Review sales, backorder, and inventory analytics, along with customer service metrics, to expedite order fulfillment and update necessary documentation.
- Develop and sustain strong partnerships with suppliers, overseeing communication, contracts, and supplier performance while driving cost efficiencies.
- Negotiate to secure optimal pricing, effective routing, and high-quality service to satisfy customer demands.
- Coordinate negotiations with international freight forwarders to ensure cost-effective, efficient routing and quality service for global clients.
- Prepare claims and collaborate with Accounting and Customer Service teams to address issues related to lost or damaged shipments.
- Provide training, mentorship, and direction to team members.
- Comply with and advocate for safety and quality-related policies and practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in logistics and distribution.
- Thorough understanding of shipping protocols, including hazardous materials and export compliance.
- Knowledge of quality and safety regulations.
- Strong leadership capabilities for overseeing the shipping department.
- Exceptional critical thinking and negotiation abilities.
