We are seeking a highly skilled Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team at BayMark Health Services. As a key member of our treatment team, you will play a vital role in helping patients overcome opioid addiction and achieve long-term recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to assist patients in managing crisis situations and developing coping strategies.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
• Conduct initial assessments and evaluations to determine service eligibility and develop treatment plans.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families on addiction recovery and relapse prevention.
• Develop and implement aftercare plans to ensure patients receive ongoing support and guidance after treatment.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of patient progress and treatment plans.
Requirements:
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science or related field.
• Ability to obtain AAP credentials within 180 days of employment.
• Experience in substance abuse counseling and treatment preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
