Job Title: Pipe Fitter Specialist
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Pipe Fitter Specialist to join our team at Ergon Construction Group. The successful candidate will provide support for fabrication, installation, and repair of piping, steel structure, and associated equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the fabrication, installation, and repair of piping and steel structures.
- Perform measurements and field fabrication as required.
- Operate forklift to perform various tasks.
- Use specialized tools such as track torch, beveling torch, hand torch, plasma arc, and other equipment.
- Perform rigging and erection.
- Repair and service piping, tanks, boilers, vessels, and valves.
- Perform bolt-up and torque flanges.
- Perform hydrostatic and pneumatic testing.
- Supply and be proficient with basic pipefitting hand tools.
- Participate in on-call duties as required.
- Project a positive, "can-do" attitude to all customers.
- Travel and overnight stay for several weeks at a time.
- Perform miscellaneous maintenance duties as requested.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Successful completion of training as outlined by Ergon Construction Group.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50#.
- Ability to work in high places (no fear of heights).
- Ability to work in any environment (heat, cold, rain).
- Ability to physically work up to 84 hours a week, if necessary.
- Ability to stand for a long period of time.
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, twist, reach, and climb.
- Ability to work in confined spaces.
- Well-groomed appearance.
Contingency: All new hires are contingent on the passing of a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
