As a key member of the Gigafactory Production team at Tesla, you will play a critical role in leading a dynamic team of Supervisors. Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Build a strong, motivated production team capable of consistently delivering high-quality products against aggressive production targets.
  • Culture Development: Maintain a culture that prioritizes safety and quality through communication, action, and accountability.
  • Process Improvement: Empower the production team to collaborate with engineering to improve product manufacturability and line productivity.
  • Training and Development: Ensure production teams receive effective training and workforce development.
  • Issue Resolution: Support issue resolution, including root cause investigation and an environment of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Supervisory Development: Develop supervisory team members for individual professional development.
  • Standardization: Ensure production teams utilize standardized work and consistent work practices across shifts and areas.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: 5+ years of experience managing teams of people in high-volume manufacturing settings.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent experience with practical engineering skills.
  • Performance Metrics: Ability to work with and develop production performance metrics (efficiency, quality, safety, throughput, costs).
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organization: Strong organization skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Technical Skills: Fluent with common MS office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
