Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Intern Construction Engineer to join our team at Northwestern Energy. As an Intern Construction Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our experienced construction engineers and gain hands-on experience in the design and construction of electric and natural gas facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support construction engineers in the design of electric and natural gas facilities for new construction, relocations, and capacity projects
  • Assist in providing services, checking site locations ahead of crew for efficiencies, and working with customers on growth orders and construction estimates
  • Research company records on vintage gas pipe to determine replacement plans and work on infrastructure mapping/GIS information to improve data
  • Participate in organizational work meetings and ensure all actions are consistent with Northwestern Energy's values, mission, and strategic business objectives
Requirements
  • Demonstrate and maintain a good safety record
  • Must possess strong interpersonal and written communication skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Engineer major required, with a minimum of Freshman level or above by start date, and must be in good academic standing
  • Must provide GPA in resume upon application and possess strong customer service and computer technology problem resolution skills
