Job Title: Assistant Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our team at Shaw Construction. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager in the planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Project Manager in the development and implementation of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractor and vendor relationships, including selection, procurement, and payment.
  • Prepare and manage project reports, including monthly job cost forecasts and external reporting.
  • Procure permits, bonds, and insurance as required.
  • Facilitate OAC meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
  • Approve and manage subcontractor and vendor payments.
  • Review and approve miscellaneous vendor and labor expenditures.
  • Prepare and process owner billing and follow up on collections.
  • Review and approve subcontractor changes.
  • Prepare and facilitate change management process.
  • Communicate with owners regarding changes and delays.
  • Oversight of submittal, LEED, and other green programs.
  • Oversight of clarification and document control processes.
  • Oversight of schedule management and quality control processes.
  • Oversight of safety program and development of job turnover and contract closeout plans.
  • Facilitate dispute resolution and mentor Project Engineers as directed by the Project Manager.
Requirements:
  • Four-year college degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management.
  • At least 4 years of commercial building construction experience, with a focus on project management.
  • Experience must demonstrate mastery of the Project Engineer role.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Salary: $85,000 to $105,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience.
  • Bonus: Commensurate with individual performance, company performance, and experience.
