Underwriter IV

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Underwriter IV to join our Tax Credit organization at PNC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing offerings for various transactions, interacting with internal and external customers, and providing recommendations for credit structuring.

• Prepare offerings for all types of transactions, including complex or high-risk deals, and manage a portfolio as assigned.
• Use independent judgment to identify risks and mitigants, and prepare scorecards, such as risk ratings, by analyzing credit, collateral strength, and financial worthiness of loan/transaction parties.
• Interact with internal and external customers to gather information and clarify inconsistencies, and perform relevant pre-approval and post-approval activities.
• Identify and confirm external regulatory requirements and ensure internal policies and procedures are followed.
• Makes recommendations on credit decisions or makes credit decisions directly, as appropriate.

• University/college degree and 5+ years of industry-relevant experience, or a comparable combination of education, job-specific certification(s), and experience.
• Knowledge of IRS Code Section 42 and 47, equity structures and documentation, market research, and 3rd party or external guidelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with internal and external customers.
