The Senior Equipment Installation Specialist will play a pivotal role in the Site Project Management Team, overseeing the installation of sophisticated equipment at client locations. This position entails effective coordination between Site Project Teams, Remote Management, and clients, ensuring seamless installation processes.

This is a long-term, full-time role with comprehensive benefits. Our benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and holidays. Compensation ranges from $30 to $32 per hour, depending on experience, with a requirement for extensive travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise scheduling, procedures, and performance of equipment at client sites, suggesting enhancements as necessary.
  • Lead the implementation and training of approved operational systems and protocols.
  • Collaborate closely with System Engineers and Project Managers on equipment installation, addressing shipping and design issues.
  • Contribute to the development of installation protocols tailored to individual skills and experiences.
  • Oversee contractor activities during equipment installation to ensure quality standards are met and training is provided.
  • Manage daily operations at client facilities.
  • Facilitate the receipt and installation of equipment components at client sites.
  • Utilize various software programs for data entry, manipulation, and reporting to relevant stakeholders.
  • Guide and train contractor resources and vendors to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Work with subcontractors to finalize project checklists.
  • Coordinate material logistics and contractor activities based on project requirements.
  • Create and update installation schedules and attend client meetings regularly.

Qualifications:

  • Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to perform essential duties effectively.
  • Requirements include a combination of education and experience relevant to the role.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with over 5 years of experience in material handling as a field service technician, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient mechanical and electrical skills, with the ability to utilize specialized maintenance tools.
  • Familiarity with equipment such as stacker cranes, conveyors, and automated guided vehicles (AGVs).
  • Competence in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to interpret equipment schematics and identify components accurately.

Language Proficiency:

  • Ability to read and interpret business documents, technical manuals, and regulations.
  • Capable of drafting reports and correspondence effectively.
  • Skilled in presenting information and addressing inquiries from various stakeholders.

Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to perform calculations involving discounts, interest, and percentages.
  • Understanding of basic algebra and geometry concepts.

Reasoning Skills:

  • Ability to identify problems, gather data, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Capable of interpreting complex technical instructions and managing multiple variables.

Travel Requirements:

  • This role necessitates significant travel, including both domestic and international assignments, with extended stays at installation sites.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.

Physical Demands:

  • The physical requirements of this position include regular walking, handling tools, and working in various environments.
  • Employees may need to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

  • Employees will frequently work near operational equipment, requiring constant situational awareness.
