Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Specialist to join our team at Nidec Motor. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our Distribution Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resolve software and hardware problems for users in a timely and efficient manner
  • Perform minor repairs to computers, printers, and scanners
  • Assist with software installation and maintenance of PC, printers, RF equipment, and thermal printers
  • Maintain a hardware and software inventory and provide support for computers, monitors, printers, scanners, copiers, and fax machines
  • Provide help desk support to end-users
  • Perform installation of desktop application software and hardware and maintain databases or modify existing ones
  • Develop spreadsheets and reports as requested
  • Maintain software licenses and contracts
  • Assist in securing internal network and facility (networking and surveillance)
  • Assess and periodically review the effectiveness of current operating systems
  • Make suggestions for improvements and/or the need for new hardware or software
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working with laptop or desktop diagnosis and repair knowledge and Ethernet networking
  • HS Diploma or Equivalent
  • Degree preferred (Business, Accounting, or related field) or in lieu of degree, 3 (three) years of direct inventory and inventory process management (automated and manual inventory systems)
  • Power Equipment certification and the ability to maintain license through safe operation of equipment
