Radiologic Technologist

As a Radiologic Technologist at Ephraim McDowell Health, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians in the diagnosis of diseases and injuries by performing technical procedures to obtain radiographic films of various portions of the body. Your expertise will involve using recognized radiographical techniques to minimize ionizing radiation while collecting and processing laboratory specimens and performing additional basic laboratory procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Operate radiation exposure equipment, lab equipment, and computers to collect and process laboratory specimens and perform radiographic procedures.
- Use specimen collection devices, including needles, syringes, and vacutainers, to collect and process specimens.
- Work with centrifuge and basic laboratory tools to analyze and process specimens.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and efficient diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technologists.
- Minimum of three years as a staff radiographer preferred.
- Prior experience and/or training in laboratory procedures preferred.
- Must obtain phlebotomy certification within the orientation period.
- ICD-9 coding experience preferred.
