Custodial Specialist

Reports to: Senior Director of Facilities

Position Objective:

The Custodial Specialist is responsible for executing daily housekeeping tasks in alignment with current federal, state, and local regulations, ensuring that the facility is kept in a pristine, safe, and welcoming condition.

Essential Qualifications:

• Proficient in English communication.
• Ability to read, write, and adhere to both verbal and written instructions.
• Minimum age of 21 years, possession of a valid Class C Georgia Driver's License, and proof of vehicle insurance.
• Compliance with state mandates for criminal history checks, including fingerprinting.
• Successful completion of drug screening and Tuberculosis testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out daily cleaning tasks and specific assignments; maintain cleanliness of all areas within the facility, including furniture, fixtures, and restrooms, utilizing appropriate cleaning agents and techniques.
• Ensure workspaces are kept clean, safe, and visually appealing, using caution signs as necessary.
• Maintain a clutter-free environment, ensuring all cleaning equipment and supplies are stored correctly.
• Adhere to established safety and sanitation protocols, promptly reporting any hazardous conditions to the appropriate personnel.
• Respect resident confidentiality and treat all residents with dignity and respect, complying with Resident's Rights regulations.
• Follow established cleaning schedules and report any incidents or accidents to the Senior Director of Facilities.
• Ensure that cleaning carts and equipment are properly maintained and that adequate cleaning supplies are available.
• Participate in training sessions, orientation, and staff meetings as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
