Position Summary

The Warehouse Sanitation Specialist at MacPherson's plays an essential role in ensuring a pristine and secure working environment. This position involves actively maintaining cleanliness across the warehouse, breakroom, and office spaces, adhering to established safety, sanitation, and housekeeping protocols. Collaborating closely with the Operations team, you will contribute to the overall efficiency and safety of the warehouse operations, thereby directly influencing the company's success as an employee owner. This role is a full-time position focused on the PM shift.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time role with hours from Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. The compensation for this position is set at an hourly rate of $14.50, with an additional $0.75 shift differential. Employees are entitled to 14 days of paid vacation in the first year. A $500 sign-on bonus is available, distributed in two installments: the first $250 after 30 days of employment and the remaining $250 after 90 days.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate for the Warehouse Sanitation Specialist position should possess:
  • A High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous janitorial or custodial experience.
  • Ability to sweep, mop, and polish floors; experience with power scrubbers is a plus.
  • Experience vacuuming carpets in common areas, conference rooms, and offices.
  • Capability to remove and dispose of trash from all areas and offices.
  • Skills in cleaning common areas, including tables, chairs, countertops, and restrooms, using cleaning agents and machinery safely.
  • Understanding of safety rules and guidelines.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
  • Capacity to work independently.
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment testing (Drug Screening and Background Check).
  • Ability to work in a non-temperature controlled environment.
  • Forklift certification or experience.
Physical Requirements

In this role, the employee will frequently stand, walk, and use hands and fingers to handle objects or controls. The position may require occasional kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Employees must be able to stand and bend for extended periods and regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs., frequently lift and/or move 25 lbs., and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 lbs. Forklift certification is mandatory.
