As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead a team of skilled technicians dedicated to ensuring the operational efficiency and reliability of our manufacturing equipment. Your role will involve overseeing preventative maintenance and repairs on a diverse range of electro-mechanical, robotic, and pneumatic systems. You will be responsible for establishing and upholding maintenance and calibration schedules for all tools and machinery utilized within the production environment. Additionally, you will engage in continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and Lean methodologies, to enhance material handling processes, production line setups, and safety protocols.
In this position, you will foster a collaborative atmosphere, working closely with cross-functional teams and departmental leaders to resolve issues impacting product quality, production efficiency, and equipment maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership abilities, demonstrating a commitment to innovation and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to maintenance personnel to achieve optimal equipment uptime and production targets. Maintain accurate departmental records and inventory.
- Ensure that standard operating procedures and engineering guidelines are up-to-date and adhered to, guaranteeing the highest quality standards.
- Monitor compliance with safety regulations and the plant's safety initiatives.
- Facilitate effective communication between shifts to align team efforts towards common objectives.
- Manage a proactive maintenance program to maximize equipment performance by increasing Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and reducing Mean Time To Repair (MTTR).
- Oversee equipment upgrades and refurbishment projects, coordinating effectively with vendor support.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of spare parts to ensure timely support for repairs and upgrades.
- Bachelor's degree in Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience with toll coating or roll-to-roll coating equipment is advantageous.
- Strong background in preventive maintenance development and familiarity with reliability-centered maintenance principles is preferred.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Beckhoff PLCs, including troubleshooting and programming.
- Familiarity with Vision/Inspection Equipment (e.g., Keyence, XRAY, Surface inspectors).
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
