Amazon Services LLC is on the lookout for a Manager of Control Systems Engineering to become a vital part of our Reliability, Maintenance, and Engineering (RME) division. This position focuses on proactive automation controls and technical assistance for operational processes to enhance equipment dependability and efficiency. The primary responsibilities encompass:

  • Overseeing and organizing work tasks for Control Systems Technicians and Leads
  • Collaborating with diverse teams to support the optimization of material handling equipment (MHE) systems
  • Diagnosing and maintaining control systems for material handling
  • Tracking MHE performance metrics and working alongside maintenance and operations teams to address system performance challenges
  • Providing escalation support for technical challenges
  • Guiding and mentoring Control Systems Technicians and Leads
  • Executing process enhancements to prevent future occurrences
  • Facilitating Failure Analysis and Incident Review protocols
  • Cooperating with equipment manufacturers and parts suppliers for the implementation of new technologies
  • Communicating technical challenges and project schedules with leadership
  • Managing a variable workload and engaging in conference calls as needed
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of 2 years of experience as an Amazon Blue Badge/FTE
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Familiarity with electrical principles, robotics, and control components
  • Hands-on experience in industrial electrical systems and troubleshooting
  • Capability to lead teams in a technical capacity
  • Demonstrated experience in providing remote technical support
  • Knowledge of advanced automation control systems
