**Position Overview**

The Department of Pathology at the University of California, San Francisco is in search of a distinguished professional for a full-time clinical faculty role as a **Neuropathologist**. This academic appointment will be within the Clinical X or In Residence series, with rank determined by the candidate's qualifications and experience.

**Key Responsibilities**

The selected candidate will engage in clinical service duties on the surgical neuropathology service, alongside other specialized areas within neuropathology that align with their expertise. Potential subspecialty options include, but are not limited to:
  • Molecular Neuropathology
  • Autopsy Neuropathology
  • Neuromuscular Neuropathology
  • Ophthalmic Neuropathology

Faculty members in the Neuropathology Division are also expected to actively participate in academic endeavors, which encompass both clinical and/or fundamental research (whether investigator-initiated or collaborative), as well as the education of medical students, residents, fellows, and colleagues from other departments.

**Qualifications**

Candidates must possess an MD or MD/PhD degree and be eligible for a California medical license by the time of hire. It is essential that applicants provide documentation of current and/or pending qualifications at the time of submission.

**Compensation**

Salary and appointment rank will be based on the applicant's experience and training. The minimum base salary range for this position is set between $112,500 and $377,200. This role includes participation in the health sciences compensation plan, which allows for the possibility of additional remuneration.
