MedStar Health is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of medical imaging procedures, including nuclear medicine and diagnostic radiographic exams.
Key Responsibilities- Imaging Procedures: Acquire raw data to obtain the best possible image, assist physicians with imaging guidance for biopsy procedures, and enter patient data at the start of the examination.
- Equipment Operation: Instruct and demonstrate the operation of imaging equipment, including mammography, CT, and MRI scanners, to professional staff and students.
- Quality Control: Ensure images are of acceptable diagnostic quality and completeness, and maintain orderliness and cleanliness of work areas.
- Patient Care: Obtain patient history, explain routine procedures, and address patient concerns.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance regularly, notify appropriate personnel of equipment malfunctions, and request repairs as needed.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Registered by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
- 1-2 years' experience in diagnostic radiology and/or nuclear medicine
- Licensed by the State of Maryland
