Job Summary

The Ohio State University is seeking a highly skilled Project Management Consultant to lead and manage various quality improvement (QI) projects as a Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PI, or subject matter expert. The successful candidate will have a strong background in quality improvement science, including experience with the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) Breakthrough Series Model, Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt), or Lean Tools.

The Project Management Consultant will be responsible for directing the QI, research and administrative efforts of project team members, building and managing relationships with project sponsors and external partners, and contributing to and approving technical reports and select stakeholder communications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare policy and program design, as well as expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Office, meeting facilitation software, and other project management tools.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage QI projects as a PI, Co-PI, or subject matter expert
  • Direct the QI, research and administrative efforts of project team members
  • Build and manage relationships with project sponsors and external partners

  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with project team members to achieve project goals
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent
  • Minimum of six years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree or four years of relevant experience with a master's degree
  • Training and/or experience in quality improvement science, including IHI Breakthrough Series Model, Six Sigma, or Lean Tools
  • Prior experience in healthcare, policy and/or program design
  • Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Office, meeting facilitation software, and other project management tools
