Service Manager

The Service Manager is a key member of the Caviar Kaspia at The Mark Hotel team, responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the restaurant. This role requires a strong leader who can motivate staff, promote a positive work environment, and maintain high standards of service and sanitation.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring that service is carried out in accordance with established policy.
- Supervise personnel, including training and evaluating dining room staff, and enforcing food and beverage policies and procedures.
- Assist with scheduling and payroll, as well as training and implementing beverage programs, inventory, and product ordering procedures.
- Ensure sanitation compliance throughout food and beverage operations, and handle customer complaints in a professional manner.
- Promote teamwork and a positive work environment, treating every customer, employee, and vendor with respect and dignity.
- Proficient in all aspects of dining service, with knowledge of food and beverage and a passion to cultivate this skill.
- Minimal experience with cost control systems, including food, beverage, and labor percentages.
- Effective style of management promoting a team atmosphere, with the ability to inspire staff to achieve their potential.
- Basic understanding of food handling and sanitation requirements of the New York State Department of Health.
- High School diploma, College degree preferred.
- Three years prior front of the house experience in a high-volume establishment.
- Previous supervisory experience in a New York City dining establishment preferred.
