We are seeking a highly skilled Dentist (Iola) to join our dental team at CHC-SEK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical dental services and preventive care in both clinic and outreach settings.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive outpatient care for dental/oral conditions, including oral examination and treatment of conditions, and follow-up of problems detected.
- Instruct assigned dental assistants and participate in quality improvement initiatives as assigned by the Chief Clinical Officer.
- Assist Director of Dental Services and/or Chief Clinical Officer with competencies and clinical evaluation of clinical staff, and make appropriate referrals to internal disciplines of CHC/SEK and/or external resources/agencies for additional services required.
- Prescribe medications for patients for treatment of conditions, as indicated, and provide dental consultation to other providers within CHC/SEK as needed.
- Responsible for accurate, timely, and clear medical record documentation, and provide appropriate follow-up with dental support staff to include telephone/written correspondence.
- Assure integration of patient education into all treatment phases, and participate in dental outreach activities as assigned.
- Provide clear written and oral communication to patients/guardians and employees, and participate in an on-call system for after-hours care.
- Ability to weigh the relative costs and benefits of a potential action, and assure that the dental policies as related to the services of CHC/SEK are current and accurate.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in dentistry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
